Mata is an academic and digital creative with over 20 years of experience in both design and writing for video games and a broad range of entertainment media. They are the Professor of Creative & Entertainment games at Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.

This session focuses on the importance of accuracy and color consistency in virtual production using LED walls. We’ll explore tools for precise calibration to reduce post-production work and maximize shoot efficiency. Virtual production offers seamless 2D/3D composites, saving time and costs compared to traditional green screens.

This presentation covers Mo-Sys Hybrid Virtual Production, a blend of LED and green screen used to film a 55-minute TV pilot with 492 shots in two weeks, featuring 7 virtual New York locations. It will also explore Gaussian Splatting, a new technique for creating photorealistic 3D scenes more easily.

This presentation covers two key aspects of virtual production: the virtual environment for shoot prep, the LED wall studio, and their connection. We’ll explore their benefits for reducing environmental impact and discuss future developments, including AGI.

Join a talk on how interoperability between industries and technologies, from generative AI to XR and cloud computing, can redefine processes and overcome challenges through seamless convergence.

Virtual Production goes beyond LED volumes, covering all digital components of a production. Learn how to maximize VP spend to add value across departments and processes by improving communication and reducing risks throughout the production timeline.
