WHEN IS THE GATHERING?

The 5th Annual VP Gathering will happen on the 9th and the 10th of April, 2025.

  • The 9th of April will be focusing on educational institutions connected to Virtual Production, such as institutions with Media, Entertainment, Programming, Games, Film or Animation academies, courses. Click here to know more about the Educational Day.
  • The 10th of April will be an open day for everyone having an interest in Virtual Production. We will close the event with a Mixer Party sponsored by Chaos, so you will have the opportunity to network and have some fun as well. Click here to know more about the Industry Day.

CAN I ATTEND ONLINE? IS THERE LIVE STREAMINGS?

No, there’s no live streaming, and you can only attend in person. We’ll try to make recordings available sometime after the conference.

IS THERE SOMETHING TO EAT?

Yes! The ticket includes a lunch.

ARE THERE MEETING ROOMS AVAILABLE?

WHERE CAN I STAY?

There are quite a few hotel options in Breda close to the University. 

 

HOW DO I GET THERE?

The venue is located at Monseigneur Hopmansstraat 2, 4817 JS Breda on the campus of the Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas).

Here’s how to get to the Gathering at BUas:

From London:

  • By train: Eurostar operates multiple fast trains daily to Rotterdam, which is approximately a 3-hour journey. From Rotterdam, it’s only an additional 25-minute train ride to Breda. Alternatively, you can disembark in Brussels and take a train to Breda from there.

  • If you prefer to fly, you can choose Brussels, Eindhoven, or Amsterdam as your arrival destination. See details below.

From Schiphol (Amsterdam) airport:

  • By public transport: For accurate train and bus information please visit https://www.ns.nl (Trains) and take the train to Breda this takes approximately one hour of travel time and takes you directly to the Breda city center. The train ride should cost approximately € 22, you can check in and out with a debit card, android & apple pay on or near the platform.
  • By taxi: It’s possible to take a taxi directly from Schiphol airport to the venue, however, it should be noted that this could cost upwards of around € 300 if you don’t reserve ahead of time. Please consult https://www.schiphol.nl/en/page/by-taxi-to-and-from-schiphol/ for all options, including options on how to reserve ahead of time.
 

From Brussels Airport (BRU, Zaventem):

  • By public transport: From Brussels Airport, there are direct hourly trains to Breda, they take about an hour to get there and cost about 20-30 EUR, depending on the time of day. For accurate train information please visit https://www.nsinternational.com/en 
 

From Eindhoven Airport:

  • By public transport: For accurate train and bus information please visit https://www.ns.nl (Trains) and https://9292.nl/ (Bus and Train schedules). From Eindhoven Airport, first take the bus to the Eindhoven train station, and then take the train to Breda. The bus and train tickets total should be approximately € 15 and the trip including walks should be about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • By taxi: For more accurate information on how to travel by taxi from Eindhoven to Breda or Eindhoven to the train station, please consult https://www.eindhovenairport.nl/en/by-taxi 

 

From Breda Train Station:

  • By public transport: For accurate train and bus information please visit https://www.ns.nl (Trains) and https://9292.nl/ (Bus schedules). There are bus stops very close to the main campus buildings, and on the train station. The bus ride from the train station to the university should last approximately 10 minutes and costs about € 1,5, you can check in and out with a debit card, android & apple pay in the bus.
  • By taxi: At the train station there should also be taxis available to take you to BUAS, these should cost approximately € 25.
